Our Vision

  • Dream it.

Talent is evenly distributed, Opportunity is not

Music is central to every culture and enriches all our lives but the tools and the skills to make music remain out of reach for many.

Music has become a peripheral element of formal education for the vast majority of children in UK state schools.

Much more is available in private schools. Not surprisingly it is privately educated children that make up the bulk of musicians in UK orchestras at every level.

  • Build it.

Everyone has the right to experience the power of music in their lives

Through our Schools, Alumni & Communities Pathways we provide activities, music tuition, instruments and performance opportunities and are changing lives for the better.

We use music to energise schools and reconnect communities, to raise individuals’ aspirations and achievement and enable them to become agents for positive change in the world.

  • Grow it.

The support of individuals and organisations is vital to our continued impact and legacy.

Morabe began as a pilot in a rural Suffolk primary school. Working in partnership with musicians, organisations and schools, we have created a model that impacts positively on the lives of rural children and their communities. As a result, it is deeply valued by those it serves.

As we scale  up to increase our reach and broaden our impact, our programme needs support to build on the success of the pilot, to encourage more children to take up music, to study and to perform and to keep playing beyond primary school.

Support Morabe

  • Community Pathways

Through this programme we give all members of rural communities, regardless of location and background meaningful access points to music

Examples: Community Choir, Mini Music (0-4yr olds), Music Therapy for SEN Pupils, Parent & Child instrumental lessons, Community Performances

  • School & Alumni Pathways

Whilst schools cover the cost of in school music provision including choir, string access scheme and music literacy classes, MORABE provides a team of dedicated specialists to delivery this alongside after school provision including ensembles, theory clubs, instrumental & vocal tuition, west African drumming club.

Pupils continue to grow and access specialist support beyond primary through our after schools Alumni Scheme, where they continue to access instrumental lessons , ensembles and performances in professional spaces

  • Foundation

Work with children in music and arts can only be achieved by successfully securing core running costs as its basic yet hard-won need. The security of the MORABE 50 core funding, will facilitate delivery of our work.

The MORABE 50 will be a collective of benefactors, committing £1,000 per year / £85 per month for three years. They will be updated with news and developments through the period. MORABE 50 members will enable our life-changing work by supporting the charity’s core costs, the lifeline which is critical to the charity’s sustainability and development.

This immensely welcomed support will enable MORABE to sustain our valuable and life changing work.
